- (i) Iva Hoover; born October 1886 in Pennsylvania; married Cart T. Hess; born circa 1888 in Pennsylvania. In 1910 the family was living in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County, where Cart was listed as a laborer on the railroad (page 7B). In 1930, Iva, widow, and children were still in Lawrence Township, where Iva was listed as a furrier taxidermist (page 17A). Also in the family in 1930 was Florence Johnston, aunt of Iva. Cart and Iva childrens known from federal censuses were Ruth Hess (born circa 1909), Wendell Hess (born circa 1911), Tovilla Hess (born circa 1912), and Stewart Hess (born circa 1914).
